From the end of July until the beginning of September it is the Annual Hartlepool Chartered Skippers Association Summer Competition.
With prizes up to £1000 there is extra incentive, and extra reward.

This year Flamer II had the heaviest fish in the competition. A Ling on 28lb 4oz for Elliot Calvet, winning him £1000!
June to August is Mackerelling time of year.
There are 4 hour evening trips running through the summer, 7 days a week.
